Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Pokédle. By accessing the site, playing a game, or signing in, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

Pokédle is a free, unofficial, fan-made Pokémon guessing game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.

2. Accounts and sign-in

You may play without signing in. Google and Discord sign-in are optional and are used to connect game progress across devices, publish eligible leaderboard entries, and provide a public trainer profile. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

3. Fair play and acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, automate abusive traffic, bypass security controls, manipulate ranked results, impersonate another person, or use Pokédle for unlawful or harmful activity. We may remove fraudulent scores or restrict access when necessary to protect players and the service.

4. User-provided content

If you upload a profile image or choose a display name, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it is not unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing. You retain your rights in that content and grant Pokédle a limited license to host, resize, display, and transmit it only as needed to operate your profile. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

Pokémon names, characters, artwork, sounds, and related assets belong to their respective rights holders. Pokédle branding and original site code and presentation may not be copied or redistributed except where an applicable open-source license permits it.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how Google and Discord profile data are used, and how to delete your account and uploaded avatar.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, rankings, puzzles, or the service at any time. We may also update these Terms; the effective date above will be changed when we do.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pokédle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

9. Termination and deletion

You may stop using Pokédle at any time and delete your stored data from the Privacy page. We may suspend access or remove content when these Terms are violated.
